Trial skills and tenacity prevail in divorce case involving multi-million dollar separate trust assets
Divorce shouldn’t be hard, but when one spouse claims they are entitled to half of the other spouse’s separate trust assets valued in the millions of dollars, it can get hard. Our Family Law group litigated such a case over the last year and a half. After a 5-day trial, the judge issued a decision holding the trust assets were not marital property and, thus, did not have to be shared with the client’s spouse, leading to a significant victory for our client.
