Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 7, 2018 – Isaac Wiles is pleased to announce the addition of William J. “Bill” Browning as partner to the firm’s Estate Planning practice group. A committed and seasoned attorney, Browning brings more than three decades of experience advising families facing a health care crisis, his vast understanding of the emotional and economic stress factors serving as a smooth and reliable guide for his clients.
“Bill has helped countless Ohio families obtain necessary healthcare for their loved ones without becoming destitute in the process,” stated Mark Landes, managing partner at Isaac Wiles. “Bill’s trailblazing work in the field of elder care both in counseling families and in working to establish more favorable laws is a tremendous asset to Isaac Wiles and the Columbus community at-large.”
Browning focuses his practice in the areas of elder law and special needs planning, aiding in legal developments within the state of Ohio and nationally. His dedication to assisting families has been instrumental in changing Ohio law, permitting parents and grandparents to set aside funds for the supplemental needs of mentally ill, and developmentally or physically disabled heirs simultaneously qualifying for Medicaid and other governmental benefits.
Browning is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and formerly served as chair of the Elder Law Committee. He has received countless invitations to lecture attorneys and financial planners at Ohio State Bar Association events, as well as national events. He is past president of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
A Certified Elder Law attorney, Browning has contributed to the design of the national certification process, authoring and grading certification exam questions throughout the past twenty years. Additionally, he remains active in the traditional estate tax planning practice, to further support families facing more common planning issues.
Bill received a juris doctor from Capital University Law School and a bachelor of arts degree from Capital University.
